Aromatherapy For Depression, Anxiety + More

I’ve been playing a bit with essential oils and how my body (and mind) responds to them. I invested in a decent diffuser for my home and a mini battery-operated version for my desk at work.

Here are a few combinations I’ve come across while researching oil blends to battle depression, fatigue, anxiety and all of the symptoms that generally accompany.

Anti-Anxiety: Lavender + Marjoram + Ylang Ylang + Sandalwood + Vanilla + Roman Chamomile

Balance: Wild Orange + Patchouli + Ginger

Be Happy: Wild Orange + Peppermint + Lime

Breathe Easily: Peppermint + Eucalyptus

Calm the Funk Down: Lavender + Clary Sage + Geranium + Bergmot Stop

Concentrate: Rosemary + Peppermint + Lemon

Don’t Worry, Be Happy: Sandlewood + Ylang Ylang

Energise: Grapefruit + Bergamot + Peppermint

Fatigue Fighter: Basil + Bergamot + Clary Sage

Good Morning: Orange + Peppermint

Happy Thoughts: Wild Orange + Clary Sage

Have a Good Day: Lavender + Lemon + Rosemary

Let it Go: Grapefruit + Bergamot + Geranium

Mood Boosting: Bergamot + Lemon + Orange

Overthinking: Bergamot + Clary Sage + Frankincense

Relax: Lavender + Lemon

Release the Anger: Bergamot + Helicrysum + Roman Chamomile

Self-Esteem: Spruce + Rosewood + Blue Tansy + Frankinecence

Sleep Easily: Lavender + Chamomile

Stress Relief: Rosemary + Lavender + Clary Sage or Lemon + Lavender + Clary Sage

Wake Me Up: Peppermint + Frankincense + Lemon

Winter Blues: Wild Orange + Ylang Ylang

Note: If you are a pet owner, be mindful that some essential oils are considered dangerous for animals, particularly tea tree, cinnamon, lemon, lavender and mint. This list is not complete and further research is recommended.
